Medio Fondo
Are you up for a challenging and fast paced ride? This is a timed ride that follows the same route as the Half-Century until the right turn onto Two Trails Road for the finish, which is 47 miles from the start. To return to the start, take a u-turn after the timed finish to return to the Century route. This will be a timed group-start event. Participants should be comfortable riding in a group.
Prizes and Awards The Award Ceremony will follow completion of the ride and will be held at the Water Tower in the Railyard.
Medio Fondo Prizes Prizes/awards will be given to the first 3 finishers in every age group for men and women. The top 5 overall will be excluded from age group awards. Age groups are divided into the following groups:

Parking
Free parking is available 0.7 miles from the start/finish line at the Joseph M. Montoya and Harold L. Runnels buildings parking lot. The parking lot is located between Cordova Rd. and Alta Vista St. near the South Capital Railrunner station. There is also street parking and a parking garage in the Raliyard.
The Start There will be a mandatory rider’s meeting at the start line at 7:45 am and then the clock will start running with a group start at 8:00 am. A police escort in front and behind the entire group of riders will slowly lead the riders for 11 miles until just after the intersection of NM 599 and NM 14. At that point, the escort will pull over and everyone is free to go at their own pace.
Rules of the Road Riders are to be courteous to other participants, volunteers, and officials. Please be aware that there will be non–Medio Fondo cyclists on the road. Give them verbal alerts of your presence when passing. For your safety, no aero bars or any other forward pointing handlebar extensions will be allowed.
All riders must wear securely fastened helmets meeting CPSC standards – no exceptions! Follow all traffic laws – this is an open course! Riders who disobey traffic laws will be disqualified from results and may be asked not to return the following year. This includes not crossing over the yellow line and stopping at stoplights/signs. Be safe! If you are courteous and have a positive attitude, you will have a better time and the effect will be contagious!
Finish Line The finish line for timed riders is different from the untimed riders. The finish line for the timed Fondos is on Two Trails road, 91.5 miles from the start on Old Las Vegas HWY. Look for the signs for the right turn. After the finish, Fondo racers should return to the Railyard for the awards ceremony and to claim your finishers medal. The timed finish line closes at 3:00pm. Please take a look at the new finish line in the Railyard park.
For this 2025 edition, the finish line will be located in the park. After crossing S Guadalupe St, riders will need to make a left U-turn and then a right turn into the ramp to get on the red bike path, just on the side of the SITE Santa Fe building.
